"By Your great mercy
We come before Your throne
We will bow down

We come before Your throne laying every burden down
We come before Your throne laying every burden down

Because You lo-ve us, and we lo-ve You.
Yes You lo-ve us, and we lo-ve You.

We cast away our cares, knowing You Lord care for us
We cast away our cares knowing You Lord care for us

Because You lo-ve us, and we lo-ve You.
Yes You lo-ve us, and we lo-ve You."

This was a song sung at the most beautiful, Christ-centered, sweet, tear-jerking, stunning wedding I've ever been to.  If you're interested, ask me about it, because I get excited talking about it!  It was a wonderful song that Bekah Cunningham named "Untitled Hymn" but another version is called "By Your Great Mercy".  And it IS by His great mercy!  I'm pondering the torn veil right now and am silenced...

Abba, Father, make me this person!
"Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.  Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.  Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." To the contrary, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head."Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

Why should we love?  Who can love? What is love?

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because
God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." 1 Jn. 4:7-11

Over the past few years I've heard dear friends use the phrase "Love deep".  It wasn't until recently that it hit home.  Am I loving deeply?  I had to stop and think about it, and when I came to the answer, I didn't like what I saw.  It felt like a punch in the stomache.  After a hard answer, I had to once again ask myself another tough question, "Who am I really and truly actively loving?  In what circles do they run in?  How alike are they to me?  How popular are they?  What IS active love?  Deep active love?  How can I love deeply outside of my circles of life?  Should I be loving everyone deeply?  What does real legit Christian love look like?  How do I search for those to love?  Is there different levels of deep love?  What does God say about it?  How did He love (THE CROSS!)?  Those are the questions I've been quite convicted about.  Those are the questions that the Scriptures answer.  I pray this is something I will actively pursue and really grow in.  "Teach me Your way, O LORD, unite my heart to fear Your name".  Ever live and plead for me to seek Your will.  Abba! Father! Lead me to love.

These are only a few of the wonderful wonderful portions of Scripture that I've found on how God wants us to love one another.

Though June has passed and Father's Day is long gone, this particular post is about my daddy :).  My sweet mom possesses these qualities, so it also relates to her.

While in Sioux City, Iowa this summer, the three of us kids kind of re-met a sweet sweet family from my grandparents church.  Among the wonderful people at that church, the Reynold family is one that we really connected with.  The girls and I exchanged email addresses and I also got the link to their blog.  One of the posts written by (12 year old) "Tatiana", really stuck out to me.  It was like our fathers were synonyms.

I'm so thankful for biblical leadership, fatherly love, contant love shown toward my mother, and many others, exemplified in my very own home.

Here is the link to the letter "Tatiana" gave to her dad!  I hope you enjoy it!  http://untohimwelive.blogspot.com/2010/06/dear-daddy.html
