At the end of every season, I look forward to the next. I love spring. I love summer. I love fall. And I also love winter. This winter has been quite a time of different things, good times, and a whole bunch of snow!

Snow--

Tennessee has had an incredible amount of snow this winter! I love it! I love to dance around in it, I love to have snowball fights, and go sledding!  

What I do without my previous "life"--

Many of you know that after Christmas my sister and I stopped playing basketball. I've played for this team since I was nine. So naturally, it was a very hard decision. It was practically all I did. We quit for different reasons, but it doesn't really matter. But since that was over, and it took up so much of our time, we felt like we needed a thing to DO.  

(We were able to go to Atlanta for the regional tournament, and that was a whole lot of fun! I had a great time with my friends and brother and sister!)

So I have been playing the guitar since November, but lately I've really gotten into it! Free sheet music has been such a blessing! I've been able to just worship while doing something that I have grown to love. It is amazing!  

Another thing I have started to get into is reading. And reading with purpose. Deep books that draw me to Jesus. It's been hard, because I have never liked reading at all. There is just so much good in books, that I can hardly not read!  

My siblings-- 

Within the last two years or so, my siblings and I have gotten so super close. It has been since our conversions that we have become not just brothers and sisters, but good friends.  

Katie has become one of the best friends I could have ever asked for. She and I know just about anything you'd want to know about each other (did that make any sense?). I love her to death! 

Caleb is the sweetest most thoughtful guy I know. He has so many qualities that are completely admirable. Not to even mention His passion for his Father. 

We spent Valentines weekend watching Disney movies, staying up late eating junk food, and sleeping on the magic carpets that he constructed for us! :)  

Jeep-- 

Ever since my dad was 9, he's wanted a Jeep Wrangler. This afternoon after church we walked outside and the surprise that awaited was shocking. There, in the parking lot was his own Jeep Wrangler! The sweet people from our church had bought him it! There are no words to explain! We are so so so thankful. We went to the mountains today :) 

I have been thinking about putting up a few different posts lately. But only three are going up today. The first is how glad I am that I am not All Knowing. Immediately you are probably a bit taken back. Maybe you would completely agree. I'm going to lay it all out here. Humble myself and say it. Often I think "I wish I just knew who was saved, so I could evangelize to the unsaved" Or "I wish I could know what the end will be like so that I can rejoice more" Or "I wish I knew what they were thinking so I could love them more". I am disgusted by anything in me that feels such things! Then I think "How glad am I that I am not All Knowing?! That I can fulfill my duty and joyful opportunity as a Christian to evangelize. That I can rejoice even in tribulations and give Him the glory in the end. That I can love unconditionally." So that has, more or less, been on my mind recently. 

The second is a song. I frequently put up quotes from the Reformers, or famous pastors, or songs. The reason is simply, I am not wise. I wish I was wise, but nevertheless I am not. I feel like there is so much good out there in books, sermons, and songs. Too much good not to share. 


This song is called "Only Jesus" by Sovereign Grace Music (Sovereign Grace puts out some great, great, Christ magnifying albums) the album "Valley of Vision". I've been working on that song on my guitar...so we'll see how that goes.

The third and finally topic is the power of the Scriptures. Last Sunday after church several people were standing around talking about evangelism. Then they states something that caught my attention. I'm paraphrasing, but it went something like this. They were saying that if you were trying to defend the Bible with Bible to someone who didn't believe in it, then what do you do? Do you try and prove it yourself? "Defend the Scriptures", they said "to someone who attacks it? Why would we ever defend the Scriptures? The Bible is like a lion. Now if there was something attacking a lion, would you protect the lion, or get out of its way and allow the lion to do the work."

 It is so much more powerful then anything that I can say or some strategy to prove it.
